Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2025. AppSniper is operated by the AppSniper team. Questions: [email protected]

1. Information We Collect

When you submit an Opportunity Audit request via our website, we collect the information you provide in the form: your name, work email address, company or studio name, role, operator type, app count, target markets, decision context, target category, timeline, and any additional context you choose to share.

We may also collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, referral source, device type) through third-party analytics services to understand how our website is used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit to:

  • Review your Opportunity Audit request and determine fit
  • Contact you to discuss the audit scope, confirm fit, and deliver the Decision Memo
  • Communicate about your audit and any follow-up questions
  • Improve our methodology using anonymised, aggregate insights (never identifiable operator data)

We do not use your submission information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

3. Confidentiality of Submitted Information

All information submitted through the Opportunity Audit request form is treated as confidential. We do not share your name, company identity, target categories, or decision context with any third party for any purpose other than delivering the audit service.

Anonymised, aggregate findings (for example, "most requested categories" or "common methodology calibration patterns") may be used to improve the AppSniper methodology. No identifiable operator information is ever included in such aggregations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your data with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the website and deliver the audit service (e.g., form processing, email delivery), bound by appropriate confidentiality agreements
  • Legal authorities if required by law

5. Data Retention

We retain audit request information and Decision Memos for 3 years after the audit is completed. Comparing verdicts against real-world outcomes requires retaining the original underwriting records. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting [email protected].

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses minimal analytics to understand traffic patterns. We do not use advertising trackers or behavioural profiling cookies. You can disable analytics by using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Our website is served over HTTPS. Audit materials are transmitted and stored securely.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact

For any privacy-related questions, requests, or concerns, contact us at [email protected].
